ResumoAbstract Property, Real Estate & Development (MIC: 8.3 SIC: 6798 NAIC: 525930) First Capital Realty is an owner, developer and operator of supermarket‐anchored neighborhood and community shopping centres located predominantly in growing metropolitan areas in Canada. Co. also invests in the U.S. through its holdings in Equity One, Inc., an owner, developer, and operator of neighborhood and community shopping centres anchored by supermarkets, drug stores or discount retail stores in major metropolitan markets in the southern and northeastern U.S. As of Dec 31 2006, Co.'s portfolio of income‐producing shopping centres consisted of interests in 158 properties, including six under development, totalling 18.2 million square feet of gross leasable area.
