ResumoManycrosslinking reagents, such as glutaraldehyde,1 ~3) bisdiazobenzidine,4) and hexamethylenediisocyanate5) are used to prepare immobilized or insoluble enzymes but these crosslinking reagents are all synthesized chemically.Recently, we have elucidated the structure of a blue dimeric pigment, genipocyanin G1? formed from glycine and genipin.6)Genipocyanin Gx is an azaphilone iridoid and a 1 : 1 adduct between glycine and genipin.(Fig. la)
