Despite being more than a decade and a half old, the advice offered in that editorial remains not only relevant but also of increased importance for those who are embarking on residency training in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic. Yet, 5 years is a long time, so Annals is taking another opportunity to welcome new interns and offer some guidance that we think may be helpful as they navigate the coming year and years beyond.
