"Hymn to the Tree of Awakening" praises the bodhi tree, the sacred fig under which the Buddha awakened, and is a rare example of a Sanskrit inscription followed by a precise translation into Old Khmer. It is located in Phimeanakas, the same temple that bears the long Sanskrit poem of Queen Indradevi. tw
