Resumo

Verrocchio created the Baptism of Christ in his tiny workshop on Via de Agnolo. While at first glance, the process of creating the painting may seem straightforward, it is quite unique because of its history. The Baptism of Christ represents humanism, while it also reflects how Verrocchio's workshop functioned. Both Verrocchio and his works represent humanism, since they contain new radical ideas, and they embody the idea of the Renaissance. Many would consider Verrocchio as a humanist since he proved everyone wrong in his life, and events in his life could be explained with the three pillars of humanism.
