Le concept d’homme augmenté n’est pas récent mais il est devenu un sujet brûlant depuis quelques années. La science nous parle de transhumanisme, d’intelligence artificielle, nous pensons cyborg et métavers. L’apport de la littérature dans ce domaine remonte à la mythologie grecque, ou à la bible. Il s’est fait sous la forme de légendes, de fictions ou d’essais. De Prométhée aux techniques de biologie moléculaire CRISPR-Cas9 en passant par Nietzsche. Le monde du livre a accompagné cette évolution mais l’a aussi anticipée. Le Meilleur des Mondes d’Aldous Huxley est paru en 1932. Cette dystopie n’était à l’époque que science-fiction. 90 ans plus tard, la réalité a rattrapé l’imaginaire de l’auteur, ses phantasmes étaient prémonitoires. Des scientifiques ont modelé l’homme. Les philosophes ont analysé la situation et les conséquences. Les écrits n’ont cessé de retracer la façon dont les hommes et les dieux ont influencé notre identité et notre devenir, jusqu’à un questionnement ontologique. En touchant à notre intégrité physique et mentale, le transhumanisme nous renvoie à l’état prénatal du Golem. L’humanité entière est concernée et le lien ancestral, par les livres, est conservée. The concept of augmented man is not recent but it has become a hot topic in recent years. Science talks to us about transhumanism, artificial intelligence, we think cyborg and metavers. The contribution of literature in this field goes back to Greek mythology, or to the Bible. It has been done in the form of legends, fictions or essays. From Prometheus to CRISPR-Cas9 molecular biology techniques, via Nietzsche. The world of books has accompanied this evolution but has also anticipated it. Aldous Huxley's Brave New World was published in 1932. This dystopia was only science fiction at the time. 90 years later, reality has caught up with the author's imagination, his fantasies were only premonitions. Scientists have modelled the man. Philosophers have analyzed the situation and the consequences. The writings did not cease tracing the way in which the men and the gods influenced our identity and our becoming, until an ontological questioning. By touching our physical and mental integrity, transhumanism sends us back to the prenatal state of the Golem. The whole humanity is concerned and the ancestral link, by the books, is preserved.
