Resumo

Considering that alternative media have constructed other narratives about political events, in this paper we aim to analyze how the Latin American alternative media represented one of the most troubled events in the Brazilian political scene: the coup against Dilma Rousseff. We resorted to the theoretical-methodological contribution of Pecheutian Discourse Analysis, specifically with regard to these notions: interdiscourse, discursive formation (henceforth DF) and discursive memory. We identified that contrary to the media whose FD supported the event as an impeachment/legal process, these media built a different representation about the coup and legitimized subject positions against it, pointing to the configuration of a counter-hegemonic FD and destabilizing the discourse reinforced by the mass media.
