ResumoTo present a strategy for the application of active methodologies Virtual Learning Environments -VLE, Coding Dojo, Gamification, Problem Based Learning -PBL, Inverted Classroom -SAI and Serious Games in the discipline of algorithms, relating them to the basic contents of the discipline.There is a need for new approaches that aim to increase student achievement in these disciplines, as well as making them active protagonists in the process of acquiring the skills and competences developed in the disciplines of algorithms or equivalents.Literature Review, Selection of Active Methodologies, Adaptation of Active Methodologies to the Context of the Discipline of Algorithms, Definition of the Teaching Plan and Peer Review.A joint approach that managed to merge the use of six active methodologies with the basic content of algorithms.The form of use of each active approach was planned, detailed and evaluated.The evaluation included the participation of professors with experience in teaching algorithms and in the use of active methodologies.The evaluation results allowed identifying points of improvement, which were adjusted so that the technical quality of the use of each active methodology became more reliable.
