Resumo

Oral squamous papilloma is a benign neoplasm that rarely measures more than 1 cm. The aim of this study is to report the case of a 51-year-old asymptomatic woman who was referred to the dental clinic with a solid intraoral tumor causing facial asymmetry with a 20-year evolution. The patient presented the result of a previous incisional biopsy of squamous papilloma. On physical examination, pedicled nodular lesions were observed in the anteroposterior region of the left maxilla and in the mandible on the left, both granular, multilobulated, normochromic, respectively measuring 7.0 × 4.0 × 3.5 cm and 3.7 × 2.7 × 0.6 cm. The lesions were removed under general anesthesia and anatomopathologic exam was conclusive for oral squamous papilloma for both lesions. The patient maintains periodic follow-up without signs of recurrence.
