ResumoThis study aims to characterise the culture of the honey cluster on the Sant'ana do Livramento - Brazil and Rivera-Uruguay border. Ethnography was used as the analysis method with field insertion and data collection through semi-structured interviews and participant and non-participant observations. The results occurred from the content analysis it was possible to conclude that the honey cluster is composed of closed groups of Uruguayans and Brazilians, beekeepers, that, in general, consider the preservation of nature, but with the disunity of the beekeepers as one of the more apparent characteristics of the cluster. Therefore, it is concluded that the experience in the field of honey clustering on the border was necessary for the characterisation of the culture of this cluster, which plays a significant role in fostering both the Brazilian and Uruguayan economies.
