ResumoNagamatsu Nissen 長松日扇 (Seifu 清風, 1817-1890), who organized the Honmon Butsuryūshū 本門佛立宗, developed a form of religious propagation focusing on the daimoku 題目, Namu Myōhō Renge Kyō 南無妙法蓮華経. Shigyō Kaishū 執行海秀 (1907-1968) pointed out that the “Shōdai 唱題 absolutism” (concentration only on the daimoku) of Nissen is remarkably seen in activities in the late period of Nissen’s life.
