ResumoOver the last decade, there has been increasing recognition that structural change (ie, remodeling) in the airways of asthmatic subjects is a characteristic feature of the disease and may have important functional implications. Remodeling can be defined as changes in the composition, content, and organization of the cellular and molecular constituents of the airway wall.
