ResumoThis study presents the process to evaluate the various environmental parameters of Tirora tehsil by applying geographical information system. Using topographic maps and Universal Transverse Mercator (UTM) zone, 44 N projection was georeferenced using in ArcGIS and applied correlation, ranking, and AHP method. Correlation of Bodalkasa medium tank capacity and amount of rainfall is r = 0.728, which is positive and high; it indicates that there is a high relation between water capacity of tanks and amount of rainfall Bodalkasa tank. Water capacity of small irrigation tanks (above 250 hector irrigation capacity) within the study area is 11.169 kL, out of which 10.6278 kL water are often used for irrigation purposes, and remaining 0.5412 kL dead water are going to be available for fishery. The tiny irrigation tank (0–100 hector irrigation capacity) having a water capacity of is 11.26 cubic meters, and it's completely used for irrigation purposes. The analytical hierarchical process weight was found to be EC < TDC < TH < Cl− < SO42 − < pH < NO3− < F− < Fe. The consistency value in this model was within acceptable limits (CR = 0.01 < 0.1). The high priority (46.9%) for management and planning of environmental resources for sustainable water was estimated for electric conductivity (27.30%) and TDS (19.60%), and it means good water quality, gentle to moderate slopes, and loamy calcareous soils. The use of this research is to rehabilitate earth's ponds, lakes, rivers, dams, etc. for freshwater resources.
