ResumoThe article discusses how black masculinities are thematized, controlled and valued in the gay pornographic universe, in the Brazilian context.To do so, we analyzed the performances of black actors, based on videos commercialized in the pornography market and two interviews broadcast on social networks.Discussions about black masculinities, image of control and pornography emphasize our reflection.The study revealed that actors and the pornographic market still appropriate stereotyped notions of the "negão" category to sell their images, making it difficult to express other masculinities.However, we identified in the analysis some alternative performances in the construction of black masculinities.
