Resumoin France) (fig. 1) was an Italian painter, engineer, encyclopedic personality and remarkable neuroanatomist.He was born from Leonardo di ser Piero da Vinci, a wealthy notary and landlord from Florence, and Caterina de Meo Lippi, a young peasant woman.Due to his wealth status, da Vinci couldn't afford a superior education, so he received an elementary education from his paternal grandfather Antonio, which consisted in reading, writing and learning arithmetic skills.After his father took him to Florence, when he was 15 years old, he had the opportunity to develop his drawing interest from artist Andrea del Verrocchio (1435-1488), which introduced the young da Vinci in painting, sculpture, technicalmechanical arts, geometry, arithmetic, chemistry, metallurgy and woodworking.During his stay at Verrocchio's workshops, he met famous painters such as Botticelli (1445-1510), Ghirlandaio (1448-1494) and also worked in the workshop of artist Antonio del Pollaiuolo (1429Pollaiuolo ( -1498)).Working simultaneously in two famous artists workshop
