While Artificial Intelligence (AI) has been in existence since the Seminal work of Newell and Simon (1956), it still represents one of the significant breakthroughs that offer the opportunity for digital transformation and automation across a wide variety of industries. As defined by Colosimo et al. (2021), AI is a "broad set of techniques which replicate human cognitive and analytical skills for problem-solving, including Machine Learning, Neural Networks, and Deep Learning" (p.443).
