ResumoThis study takes an interprofessional approach to examine the relationship between asthmatic therapy and oral health among athletes participating in the 2015 Special Olympics World Games. Of the athletes who reported having asthma and used an inhaler, there was no significant correlation of increased poor oral hygiene. This study highlights the positive impact of the Special Olympics Healthy Athletes programs in providing health care awareness, preventive care and referral services for Special Olympics athletes globally.
