English Abstract: The Brazilian Army currently uses .308 win caliber weaponry for all Infantry Battalion Military Hunters teams. The nature of the troop, in this case the armored and mechanized, would be a variable to impose some differentiation in this material, as already happens in special troops like Special Forces and Parachute Precursors? The scientific paper presented here intends to seek some light and bring reflection on the subject, considering that the doctrine of use of these Armored and Mechanized Infantry Battalions in Operations (defensive, offensive and complementary) are distinct and with peculiar characteristics in comparison. Infantry Battalions of other natures, such as motorized, jungle, mountain, or parachute infantry. In the case of the anti-personnel armaments of the Hunted Armored and Hunted Brazilian Infantry Hunters Team, would the use of the .338 Lapua Magnum caliber be appropriate when fulfilling their doctrinally imposed missions?
