ResumoHarm Reduction practices are an attempt to include users of alcohol and other drugs in the therapeutic plan and adapt beneficial interventions.This study aims to identify care practices in harm reduction among users of alcohol and other drugs.The evidence presented in the integrative review on harm reduction was analyzed in the Lilacs, Web of Science, Scielo and Pubmed databases.After analysis by two independent authors, 10 studies were included in the final sample.The results were segregated into three themes: strategies and programs found that aim at preventing damage; guidance on self-care and harm reduction and guidance for health professionals on harm reduction.The main guidelines of the three themes deal with the attendance to health and social assistance services, abstinence, alcohol consumption, educational and preventive interventions, referral to specialized
