Resumo

Late-life depression has been associated with accelerated aging and cellular senescence. Indeed, several studies demonstrated an increase in senescence-associated secretory phenotype (SASP) proteins in individuals with late-life depression. However, it is unclear how the increased expression of SASP proteins relates to clinical presentation, including mental and physical health.
