This chapter provides commentary on the chapters by Luciana Heymann and Verena Alberti, Daisy Perelmutter, and Bernardo Borges Buarque de Hollanda and Raphael Rajão Ribeiro. The commentary highlights the thread common to these chapters: the process of rereading oral sources the authors produced in the past or of examining sources constructed in the past by third parties. They are reflective essays that offer suggestive methodological, theoretical, and epistemological contributions that enrich the praxis of contemporary oral history. The author also shares a series of personal reflections motivated by the texts.
