La fe cristiana como horizonte de sentido ante la crisis migratoria

A critical reflection is made on the current migratory crisis and examines the causes and consequences that have shocked the world today, sharpening its wounds. The analysis focuses on the importance of Christian faith which, in front of the humanitarian crisis, the proliferation of xenophobic discourse, and the tendency to increasingly exclude migrants and refugees has taken an option for these vulnerable people. Inspired by the word of God and the Gospel of Christ, it not only defends migrants' dignity, but also works tirelessly for its promotion and full humanization, recognizing in them the image of Christ and a sign of God's visit to the world at present. In fact, this study aims to show how faith is able to generate a horizon of sense, salvation, and hope in the middle of the current crisis and favor a liberating rereading, a reinterpretation of the sense of life for a group of migrants at Hogar de Cristo Foundation in Guayaquil.
