ResumoThe National Toxicology Program (NTP) is a Federal interagency partnership of the National Institute of Environmental Health Sciences of the National Institutes of Health (NIEHS/NIH), the National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (NIOSH/CDC), and the National Center for Toxicological Research of the Food and Drug Administration (NCTR/FDA). Since its establishment in 1978, the NTP has become a global resource, addressing emerging toxicological needs, and a world leader, designing, conducting, and interpreting various types of assays for toxicity. The NTP strives to be on the cutting edge of toxicological science and maintains an objective approach to address critical issues in toxicology. Scientific data, reports, and monographs from the NTP are freely available on the NTP website (https://ntp.niehs.nih.gov).
