Guilherme de Ockham e os poderes causais das cognições intuitivas

ResumoNo presente artigo eu gostaria de, em grandes linhas e seguindo os dados que compõem a cronologia-padrão dos escritos ockhamianos, recuperar algumas camadas da redescrição dos poderes causais associados à noção de cognitio intuitiva operada pelo Venerabilis Inceptor. O que anima uma tal empreitada é a hipótese de que há nuances tão sutis quanto decisivas nas formulações oferecidas por Ockham sobre o poder causal da cognitio intuitiva que, se claramente identificadas, podem prover elementos para uma interpretação acurada do sentido e, sobretudo, dos motivos da posição madura de Ockham sobre o tema -- posição à qual as gerações posteriores aderiram ou, mais frequentemente, como sabemos, reagiram. Abstract In the present paper, I would like, with broad strokes and following information that constitutes the standard chronology of Ockham's writings, to recover some layers of the re-description of the causal powers associated with the notion of cognitio intuitiva suggested by the Venerabilis Inceptor. What animates this undertaking is that there are nuances, both subtle and decisive, in the formulations offered by Ockham regarding the causal power of the cognitio intuitiva, and that through visualization of these details we may arrive at a more accurate understanding of the mature position of Ockham on the subject -- that position held by, or more frequently criticized by later generations.Recebido em 07/2014Aprovado em 08/2014
