Demodicosis is a parasitic disease caused by a mite that affects several species, including cattle. The disease usually presents as a cutaneous clinical manifestation and can be diagnosed by microscopic examination of skin scrapings. An Angus male bovine kept at the Centro de Biotecnologia em Reprodução Animal (Biotec) was diagnosed with demodicosis and treated with 2% chlorhexidine, which showed clinical improvement one month after the beginning of the protocol.
