The book’s final chapter argues that action research can benefit from scrutinizing its theoretical foundations. I show how existing theoretical streams link back to Kurt Lewin’s original concept and how Lewin’s work, in turn, closely connects to Jacob Levy Moreno’s ideas. The claim here is that German Critical Psychology can be rendered as an action-based approach and enrich the theoretical foundations of action-based research.
