Resumo

The rich treasures taken in Syria (consisting of 50 coins) have been researched in detail with their period features, stylistic features of the coins, and the importance of the types used by both states. In the treasure, there are also some examples of the Armenian Barony, established in Adana (Sis-Kozan) region before the Armenian Kingdom of Cilicia was established. The details of the silver tram, zabel, copper tank, kardez, equestrian kardez, pogh, silver and billion takvorin are examined to determine which king they belong to.In addition, the felses belonging to the Georgian Kingdom but written in Georgian on one side and in Arabic on the other due to their vassal status were examined. The historical adventures and events of the Armenians, who were forcibly sent to Çukurova from the eastern Anatolian region by the Byzantine Empire, are discussed in detail. The struggle of survival of the Armenians in the geography where great states such as the Ilkhanates on one side of their borders, the Anatolian Seljuks on the other side, and the Mamelukes in the south, will be evaluated. The coin samples belonging to 12 Armenian, 3 Georgian, 1 Mamluk and 1 Ayyubid kings and sultans have been very well-preserved where they were found.Since the inscription details can be read easily, they are considered to be important examples in terms of condition and rarity in the numismatic discipline. These coins reveal the importance of the Kozan-Sis Armenian Kingdom in Turkish history. At the same time, they are of great importance as they reveal in which periods they entered under the rule of the Ilkhanate, Anatolian Seljuks (Sultanate of Rum) and Mamelukes.Looking at the coins in Armenian historical perspective, it will be seen that they contain important details in terms of displaying how the events of the time had transpired. The minting quality of the coins, their silver settings, and the ornaments on them reveal that the Armenians had a very advanced artistic sense. The data is from 2007, so there is no need for ethical board approval.
