This article aims to investigate the poetry of Marcelo Montenegro through the central paradigm of the analogy. First, it will sketch a heuristic concept of analogy based on the structuralism, than extend it to three recurrent structures/themes in Montenegro’s poems, connecting them through the central kernel of the analogic and the analogy. Furthermore, this paper will unravel a link between analogy/analogic and memory in two scenarios: one centered on the technological means of inscription/registration of data, and other on a psychological/linguistic notion of memory.
