ResumoThis paper provides an interior noise analysis of the light business jet Cessna Citation CJ2, with experimentally measured noise levels during normal flight operations. The study is made to collect acoustical information which provide in-depth view of human acoustical comfort and further increase the faculty’s information database with aircraft acoustical information which can be later used by other authors for further study or be used as a reference value for individual use. Measured noise data is presented in a tabular and graphical way, giving precise and simple insight during all segments of the flight. The main results consist of Equivalent noise levels, Minimum and Maximum noise levels, and Octave band noise levels, showing that noise levels are fluctuating around high level margins hence appropriate noise protection options are recommended for long-exposed personnel, primarily pilots. Lastly, the results are processed through objective metrics, yielding the actual influence of Cessna Citation CJ2 aircraft noise levels on the crew and passengers. The results show that passengers are provided with a sufficient level of speech intelligibility while pilots are expected to wear the headset during the critical flight phases to maintain the highest possible flight safety level.
