Resumohe IEEE Circuits and Systems Society (CASS) Rio de Janeiro Chapter intends that this year, in which we have the chance to visit the universities in person after a long-time pandemic situation, the immediate work is to bring student members back to in person events.This can attract new student and professional CASS members from the Rio de Janeiro state.One of the major tasks of our 2022 plans starts by performing at least one CASS presentation in several universities with electrical or computer engineering in Rio de Janeiro state in order to discuss the variety of opportunities and international insertion of CASS members.Therefore, an IEEE CASS Rio Tour was organized in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, by the IEEE CASS Rio Chapter in collaboration with the Federal Center for Technological Education (CEFET/RJ), Fluminense Federal University (UFF), and Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (UFRJ).The first workshop of the IEEE CASS Rio Tour was organized in cooperation with the Federal Center for Technological Education of Rio de Janeiro (CEFET/RJ) and featured the participation of graduate students, undergraduate students, and professors of electrical engineering.It was held at the Maracanã Campus, CEFET/RJ, on July 22, 2022, and was composed of the following talks (Fig. 1):
