The Applied Superconductivity Conference ( ASC ) Corporation was transformed to the Applied Superconductivity Educational Foundation (ASEF) and ran the ASC 2022 Conference which was held at the beautiful Honolulu Convention Center October 23–28, 2022 in Honolulu, Hawaii. The ASC 2022 program received close to 1700 abstract submissions of which 1663 were initially accepted to be included in the technical program. The final program included 1204 presentations (518 contributed/invited talks, 674 posters/invited posters, 7 young professional plenary talks, and 5 plenary talks) and 5 ELEVATE short courses were given during the five days of the conference. 530 manuscripts were submitted for peer review in the Special Issue of the IEEE Transactions on Applied Superconductivity ; 485 have been accepted for publication with a final decision typically occurring 96 days after submission. The peer review of manuscripts produced 1,712 reports, which were received typically within 15 days and resulted, on average, in requiring at least 1 revision per manuscript. Approximately 54% of manuscripts required substantial revision in response to the expert reviews. The conference was attended by 1333 participants (305 of whom were students) from 20 countries. An exhibition took place during the conference with the participation of 54 companies from 12 countries.
