Resumo

Soil analysis is a vital step of nutrient management planning of farmlands that includes fertilizer application, rotational plans, making best use of manures etc. The present research paper investigates the physico-chemical parameters of various soil samples from different villages of Tirora tehsil of Gondia district in Maharashtra state (Central India). An in-depth exploration of the farm soils and crops grown in the area was conducted with the aim to study the morphological and chemical characteristics of the soils. For this purpose, twenty soil samples were collected in January 2020 from the study area and parameters such as pH, exchangeable cations, electrical conductivity, available nitrogen and potassium, organic carbon, CaCO3 %, base saturation %, cation exchange capacity etc.
