Since the installation of X-ray service in 1892, radiography fraternity has undergone enormous change in Nepal. This study was conducted to reveal and describe the present scenario of Radiography profession in Nepal. MATERIALS AND METHODS Prospective cross-sectional study performed with self-design structured proforma. A historical review of radiography developments to date was undertaken. An attempt was made to determine the present scenario of radiography education and workforce in Nepal. The authorized person was directly contacted for data collection. The statistical software SPSS V.16, Microsoft office 365 were used. RESULTS 20 Diploma, 8 Bachelor and 2 Master in Radiography education were available all over the country regulated by Medical Education Commission. 3538 Radiography professionals are licensed and accredited by Nepal Health Professional Council. Nepal Radiological Society is only professional organization affiliated with ISRRT and 2 radiography students' organization MITSS and NRTSS are voice of Nepalese Radiography professionals and students. The Radiography Room is national Radiography social network. CONCLUSION The future holds many exciting opportunities in radiographic profession. Postgraduate innovative radiography education, artificial intelligence, ultrasonography and clinical reporting radiographer opportunities across Nepal appear to be insufficient and further investigation of radiography accreditation processes is justified to ensure harmonization of practice.
