Resumo

Virtual tours allow for the simulation of human presence in specific locations from the comfort of one’s home through immersive experiences. Currently, they are widely used by individuals and even large companies. There are multiple software applications that enable the creation of these tours, but most of them only allow for the visualization of static scenes that cannot be modified. Moreover, these software applications are proprietary, which means they cannot be improved or have new functionalities added, and their use is prohibited in certain countries due to unilateral sanctions imposed by foreign powers. To address this problem, research was conducted to identify a technology that would enable the development of software providing Cuba with technological independence while meeting the necessary requirements. Based on this, it was decided to utilize open-source technologies associated with JavaScript, employing Node, Nest.js, and Mongo DB for the backend to handle data persistence. For the visual functionalities associated with virtual reality, Three.js, a powerful open-source JavaScript library with a wide range of available functions, was chosen. As the solution demands minimal resources, the results can be applied to interactive digital television in low-performance smart set-top boxes, thereby extending their use in education and cultural contexts. This work contributes to the development of different sectors of society and promotes the growth of technological sovereignty in countries.
