Walter Murray Wonham died on Sunday, 14 May 2023 at the age of 88, leaving a series of legacies in control theory (see “Control Theory Legacies”). He died unexpectedly at home in Toronto, Ontario, Canada, and was active in research, graduate teaching and supervision until the day of his death.
