Resumo

This paper aims to study the role of irrealia in the composition of fictional worlds, focusing on possible existing patterns of word-formation processes of irrealia in different categories of lexical units found on the corpus analysed, as well as to establish a new classification on the degree of fictionality of these units. Keeping such objectives in mind, we elaborated a corpus collecting the official guides of two fantasy and epic videogames: The Elder Scroll V: Skyrim (2011) and The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt (2015). Through manual corpus mining and the individual analysis of the 1804 irrealia found on both guides, we may conclude that despite similarities between both fictional worlds are found, we can notice relevant differences depending on the objectives of each videogame.
