ResumoBreast milk (BM) is a nutritive fluid that is rich in bioactive components such as hormones and cytokines that can shape the newborn's feeding habits and program the newborn's immature immune system. BM components can change under different scenarios that include maternal body mass index (BMI) and premature birth. This study aimed to study the interaction of premature status or maternal obesity on the hormonal and cytokine profile in BM according to the sex of the offspring.
