Este estudo analisou a produção científica da última década sobre Hospitais de Custódia e Tratamento Psiquiátrico, considerando os princípios da Reforma Psiquiátrica Brasileira. Foram analisados 18 artigos através da plataforma BVS, utilizando-se dos descritores: “Hospital de Custódia Tratamento Psiquiátrico”, “Medida de Segurança” e “Manicômio Judiciário”. Os estudos selecionados destacam a persistência de práticas manicomiais e vilipêndio de direitos humanos e foram categorizados da seguinte forma: “Os Manicômios Judiciários no Brasil: Criação, Extinção e a Complexidade da Periculosidade”; “A Complexa Teia entre Saúde, Direito e Reforma Psiquiátrica nos Hospitais de Custódia e Tratamento Psiquiátrico”; “Entre Manicômios Judiciários e Reforma Psiquiátrica: Desafios na Busca por Justiça e Saúde Mental no Brasil”. O debate sobre o futuro dessas instituições varia de extinção imediata a uma redução gradual, e estudos como este podem contribuir para a construção de políticas de saúde mental que visem construir uma sociedade sem manicômios. PALAVRAS-CHAVE: HCTP. Medida de Segurança. Manicômio Judiciário. ABSTRACT Over the last few decades, the mental health practices have been affected for many transformations in Brazil. This path is marked by a wager on the asylum model, where the hospitalization and medicalization are its main pillars, that end up culminating in the denial of the subjectivity of individuals that are under to these circumstances. With regard to the individuals with mental disorders who come into conflict with the law, this perspective is even more worrying. Even after 21 years of the enactment of Law 10.216, there are still many challenges about the care of people with mental disorders. Regarding people with disorders who have committed an infraction, these challenges are even greater. The care provided to people with mental disorders who come into conflict with the law finds its apex in the mortifying conditions of psychiatric hospitals, which constitute one of the models of total institutions. The general objective of this research project is to survey and discuss the scientific production of the last decade on the topic of Psychiatric Custody and Treatment Hospitals, taking into consideration the principles inherent to the Brazilian Psychiatric Reform.
