ResumoEducational remote laboratories are software and hardware tools that allow students to access real equipment located somewhere else to perform tasks. One of the key features of remote laboratories is that once they are developed, the number of students who can benefit from them by accessing those labs remotely can scale fast. This contribution is focused on the development of an open-source remote laboratory for teaching SDR (Software-defined radio). The paper describes how the laboratory is developed from the technical perspective, what are the challenges of these remote laboratories compared to other types of remote laboratories, and how universities and colleges will be able to use this laboratory in the future.
