In 2023, the Game Design Workshop at Bocconi University studied the implementation of modern algorithms to emulate the original Dungeons & Dragons game by Gary Gygax and Dave Arneson (1974), with an ambitious constraint: collect all the rules in a single, foldable, A4 page.The one-page challenge was inspired by Deathbringer RPG by Dan Masters (2022), our solution builds on the mechanics of Index Card RPG} by Hankerin Ferinale (2022), and we refer to the freely available Basic Fantasy RPG by Chris Gonnerman (2023) for equipment, spells, and monsters' lists.
