ResumoThe article seeks to understand how the sociocultural engagement of youth in the universe of criminal factions on the outskirts of the city of São Luiz, in State of Maranhão, took place and, in a way, still takes place.It focuses on understanding the formation of the sensitivity of young people immersed in the funk musical genre also known as prohibition, a vehicle for aesthetic awareness and community awareness, as a functional model of education of the senses and community awareness.
