ResumoThe analysis proposed in this article focuses on the dialogical relationship between the character Capitu, from the work Dom Casmurro, by Machado de Assis, which is added to the popular song, Capitu, by Luiz Tatit, which presents a character with a modern garment, which enchants for its mysteries and its premeditated power of seduction, different from the Machado's Capitu, which presented an innocent seduction.Under the precepts of the semiotic theory of song (WISNIK, 1989; TATIT, 2007; PIGNATARI, 2004), we make an analysis of how Tatit visualizes and describes the power of the "Capitus" of today that have the support technology to become more attractive and powerful, combining semiotic analysis with the social context, and its possible meanings. We also make use of the theoretical assumptions of Fiorin (2009) and Bakhtin (2006) about relationships between texts.Regarding Machado's literature and work, we have the notes of Candido (2005), Macedo (2005), and Bosi (2007) and, to address gender relations, Kolontai (2008) and Bourdieu (2017), in order to promote pertinent reflections in relation to changes in the social role of women.
