ResumoIn an experimental stocking of a restricted freshwater environment, Papin Lake, Pontiac County, Quebec, Atlantic Salmon fingerling (25-35 mm long) growth was remarkable because of the introduction and adaptation of smelts utilized by the landlocked salmon as forage food. After three summers, some salmon had reached 2.0-2.84kg.In Papin Lake, salmon reached first sexual maturity after three summer growing seasons, age 2+.No natural propagation was successful due to the absence of an inflowing stream. The last catch of a landlocked salmon in Papin Lake was made at the end of June 1981.The specimen was 8 years old and had been stocked in 1973.Key Words:
