Resumo

This paper presents the vocabulary of semantic fields Geographic Accidents of the work O Castanheiro (2001), by writer João Brasil, from the town of Marabá, state of Pará.He is the author of 11 nonfiction works of a memorialist character that mostly portray the history of the city in different periods.The results presented here are a part of the research promoted by CNPq, entitled "Vocabulário de João Brasil".The research aims to gather data for the elaboration of the representative vocabulary of the author in order to carry out an analysis semantic of the identified semantic fields, thus relating to the physical, historical and cultural universe of the town of Marabá-PA.The theoretical and methodological framework refers to the lexical-semantic analysis of lexias organized by lexical fields according to Abbade (2009;2011;2012) and Faulstich (2010), as well as studies in Lexicology, Lexicography and Terminology.The organization of vocabulary is done through a catalographic form, in a semi-asian way.The entries are presented in alphabetical order, with their grammatical information, definitions and remissives.Therefore, the lexical data will be manipulated through the Lexique Pro computer program that allows the construction of electronic dictionaries.We identified 22 words, which are presented in the lexical field that this work proposed to work on.
