O objetivo deste artigo é pensar o filme Bacurau como uma narrativa onde se instaura a descrição do conflito entre utopia e distopia. A obra, vista pelo ângulo distópico, se passa em um futuro próximo, onde a crise social e civilizatória brasileira gera divisões territoriais e anulação de direitos humanos. No entanto, pelas lentes da utopia, é possível encontrar no filme um povoado pobre, mas marcado pela solidariedade, pelo respeito à diversidade, à força das mulheres, às liberdades individuais e pelo respeito à história e ao conhecimento. THE CONFRONTATION BETWEEN UTOPIA AND DYSTOPIA IN BACURAU ABSTRACT: The purpose of this article is to think of the film Bacurau as a narrative where the description of the conflict between utopia and dystopia is established. The work, seen from the dystopian angle, takes place in the near future, where the Brazilian social and civilization crisis generates territorial divisions and the annulment of human rights. But, through the lens of utopia, it is possible to find in the film a poor village, marked by solidarity, respect for diversity, the strength of women, individual freedoms and respect for history and knowledge.
