ResumoWe thank Kazuo Komamra and Mitsunori Iwase, and John Kikoïne and colleagues for their interest in our Article. We are happy to clarify the trial safety endpoints of the device implantation that specifically refer to device-related or system-related complications (DSRCs). The safety endpoints of the three trials (CHAMPION, GUIDE-HF, and MONITOR-HF) are similar and use the same device and implantation technique.1–3 DSRCs were defined as an adverse event that was definitely or possibly related to the wireless pressure sensor or external electronics and was either treated with invasive means, resulted in the death of the patient, or resulted in the explant of the device.
