Resumo: O objetivo deste artigo é analisar de que forma Agustina Bessa-Luís, por meio, sobretudo, de personagens femininas, apresentou uma biografia de Almeida Garrett e a conturbada história do tempo no qual o dramaturgo escreveu, o século XIX.
