Autores ResumoThe Study of official letters by (pro) magistrates who commanded one or several legions allows to assume that a report was systematically sent to the Senate at the end of each consular year in order to facilitate military or administrative decisions (raising troupe, distribution, funding and demobilization of legions ; choice of the consular provinces). However, the examination calendar of those reports evolved with the reforms that took place during the last century of the Republic (lex Sempronia, new electoral calendar of Sylla, lex Pompeia)
