Resumo

Compliance with exclusive breastfeeding is associated with many factors. These factors may enable or block compliance with exclusive breastfeeding. This study identified the enablers, barriers, and compliance to exclusive breastfeeding among mothers and the relationship between variables. This is a descriptive- correlational study conducted in Ipil, Zamboanga Sibugay. One hundred twenty breastfeeding mothers served as the study's respondents selected through purposive snowball sampling. A questionnaire checklist was used to gather pertinent data. The data were analyzed using Weighted Mean, Standard Deviation, and Pearson Product Moment Correlation Coefficient. The findings show that the chief enablers and barriers identified in this study do not influence mothers' exclusive breastfeeding compliance. This implies that exclusive breastfeeding compliance is independent of this study's identified enablers and barriers.
