ResumoSocial determinants of health (SDOH) have received increasing attention in all aspects of healthcare. However, the role of SDOH in dermatological care is an ongoing area of research. We demonstrate the occupational, language and literacy constraints that complicate the diagnosis and treatment of an immigrant Vietnamese nail salon technician with chronic dyshidrotic eczema. This case serves to illustrate the importance of SDOH considerations in optimizing dermatological care.
